Due to its unique location in the Jizera Mountains, Park Hotel **** Kur & SPA Buczyński gives guests the opportunity to visit many wonderful places.
The "Julia" crystal glassworks in Piechowice is a place where the manual production of crystals, despite the fact that it is an extremely labor-intensive process and is now disappearing, has been ongoing for over 150 years.
Śnieżka is the highest peak of the Karkonosze and Sudety Mountains (1602 m above sea level). The cone-shaped mountain is made of metamorphic rock and granite, which gives it its characteristic shape. The climate on the top is very specific, very similar to the climate of the Arctic Circle.
The average annual temperature slightly exceeds 0 ° C, in the warmest month it is around 10 ° C. Therefore, snow sometimes appears here as early as October and lasts until the end of May. Unfortunately, there is no shelter on Śnieżka because it is not possible to spend the night on the mountain. Annually, on St. Lawrence's day (August 10), a service is held in the chapel located at the top, attended by Sudeten guides and GOPR rescuers.
Szklarki Waterfall is located in the central part of the Szklarki Gorge. It is made of a mountain stream falling in a wide cascade from a height of 13.3 m and narrowing downwards. Next to the waterfall, there is the Kochanówka shelter.
The Kamieńczyk Waterfall is the highest waterfall that can be found in the Polish Karkonosze Mountains. The Kamieńczyk stream falls from a height of 27 meters and turns into a waterfall consisting of three rapids of different heights. The middle cascade hides a secret in the form of an artificially carved grotto created by the Walloons. Access to the waterfall leads through a metal staircase to the Kamieńczyk Canyon which is 100m long. Its walls are up to 25 meters high.
The waterfalls are located in Szklarska Poręba, approx. 20 km from Świeradów-Zdrój.
Admiring mountain panoramas is the activity most often chosen by tourists. For this reason, several viewing terraces have been created in the immediate vicinity, allowing you to admire the sherfrey range of the Karkonosze in all its glory.
The 2 most popular viewing terraces are located in Szklarska Poreba:
Zbójeckie rocks - a viewing platform with a wooden terrace, which can be accessed directly from the tourist trail. The terrace allows you to admire the area from Szrenica to Śnieżka.
A golden view - a terrace situated over a 20-meter-high rock cliff, offers the possibility of admiring the Karkonosze, the Kamienna Valley and the Jelenia Góra Valley. There are sun loungers on the terrace for relaxing in nature and sunbathing.
Unique plants, a crazy range of colors, unusual flowers, trees and shrubs that are even over a hundred years old. These are just some of the attractions offered by the Siruwia Japanese Garden. A place like from a fairy tale, filled with the power of colors, the noise of streams and attractions for both large and small visitors, will take you into the world of the Orient, bringing the culture of the West to the point of relaxing your senses by communing with nature. The highest playground in Lower Silesia for the youngest, the Museum for the elderly, guided tours and a cafe with Japanese delicacies - all of this is waiting for you in Siruwia.
The garden is located in Przesieka - about 15 km from Karpacz.
Four lakes: yellow, purple, blue and black, located on the slope of Wielka Kopa, are located in the Rudawy Landscape Park (Wieściszowice village).
The color of the water depends on the chemical composition of the walls and bottom of the workings. At the beginning of the 18th century, the then inhabitants of Rohnau (now Wieściszowice) practiced mining of pyritone-bearing shales with which the local soil is saturated. A pyrite mine, transformed into sulfuric acid, was established here. When excavation was closed at the beginning of the 20th century, nature took over this place, filling the mine workings with water and creating phenomenal colorful lakes.
Liberec is a Czech city located about 43 km from Świeradów Zdrój.
The town located at the foot of the Ještěd peak is regarded as a winter sports center.
There are many attractions for tourists, including:
Fairy-tale rock formations, beautiful nature and stunning views. The National Nature Reserve of the Adršpas-Teplice Rocks, in which the Rock City is located, will take you to a completely different world!
Among the rock labyrinths you will encounter: the 81.4 meters high "Lovers" rock form, the Great Waterfall falling 16 meters down, the narrowest passage between the rocks (50 centimeters! Wide), and for dessert, a picturesque lake with crystal clear water will invite you to rest after active excursion.
